PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
New 9800 sq. ft. residence including parking for 7 cars, wine room, home theater, detached art studio, & swimming pool.

CRITERIA:
The client wanted a classically modern home with maximum expanses of glass & views, but also wanted a sculptural composition of shapes & heights that responded to the topography of the site.  We began by introducing a stone wall that runs from the entrance to the property, through the house, into the backyard, & down into the pool. The house fastens itself to the stone wall as if the wall pre-dates it on the site and the wall points directly at the ocean from this hilltop lot in Malibu.  We took advantage of the client’s love of walking on the property by detaching the art studio & a 4-car garage.
